The collaboration between with Oxford Optronix has been further strengthened as Dr. Michael Rau, the Chief Scientific Officer, visited China this month for a two-week collaboration exchange.
During his visit, Dr. Michael Rau engaged in detailed discussions and planning with the China Gate Scientific team regarding collaboration. Together, they explored topics such as market promotion strategies, sales and support plans, and product innovation. Through this exchange, both parties gained a greater understanding of each other and laid the foundation for future cooperation.
From April 9th to 10th, Dr. Michael Rau, representing Oxford Optronix, and China Gate Scientific jointly participated in the 2024 Annual Meeting of Chinese Society for Cell Biology, engaging in in-depth technical exchanges with scholars in attendance.
During this trip, Dr. Michael Rau had close interactions with several renowned universities and research institutions in Asia. During his presentation at Fujian Normal University, he showcased the advantages and application value of the OxyLite in the field of medical optoelectronics. Worth mentioning is the serendipitous encounter during this visit, where Michael came across an Optronix oxygen monitoring system that had been in use for over fifteen years in the laboratory. The owner of this equipment was Professor Huang Zheng, with whom Michael had collaborated at a national laboratory in the United States. This reunion not only strengthened their connection but also highlighted the exceptional longevity of Optronix devices, demonstrating their enduring value in scientific research.
In the subsequent itinerary, Dr. Michael Rau and team members traveled to Shenzhen, where they conducted training for users of the GelCount colony counter at Shenzhen University. Additionally, he met with clients from Shenzhen University of Technology and the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, discussing the innovative application of the Oxylite tissue oxygen monitoring system in monitoring brain oxygen pressure.
Apart from customer interactions, Dr. Michael Rau also met with China Gate Scientific's Guandong business partners. Both parties explored the application of Optronix systems in the field of medical research and agreed to accelerate project progress through strengthened collaboration.
Subsequently, Dr. Michael Rau and the team arrived in Chongqing, where they installed the new generation of OxyLite and OxyFlo at the Army Medical University. They then provided technical support to existing customers at Daping Hospital and delivered the newly purchased sensors.
On the final day, Dr. Michael Rau and the team returned to Shanghai to provide training for OxyLite users at Fudan University. The training session successfully addressed the issues encountered by customers during experiments, achieving significant success.
To express gratitude for Dr. Michiael Rau's assistance during the past two weeks, the China Gate Scientific team hosted a dinner in his honor. During the dinner, company representatives sincerely thanked Dr. Mike Rau and expressed appreciation for his efforts in strengthening the collaboration between the two parties.
China Gate Scientific and Oxford Optronix have made significant progress in this collaboration and are confident about future cooperation. Both parties will continue to work closely together to promote innovation in the field of scientific research instruments.
