Tim Devling PhD, Director of Life Sciences at Xstrahl, embarked on an intensive market expansion trip in Asia this month. The visit aims to further promote Xstrahl's SARRP and FLASH systems and strengthen cooperation with Chinese partners. The trip covered several cities, including Shanghai, Jinan, and Suzhou, and achieved remarkable results.
On March 18th, Dr. Tim Devling held a meeting with the SARRP team at China Gate Scientific in Shanghai to discuss current market plans and sales strategies. Dr. Tim Devling also shared their experiences in Europe and the United States with the China Gate Scientific team, providing valuable reference for the expansion into the Chinese market.
Subsequently, on March 19th, the team visited Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center to introduce the state-of-the-art small animal FLASH research system to users and share the latest academic advancements. Additionally, Dr. Devling visited the first domestic SARRP small animal radiotherapy platform located in the laboratory and provided technical support.
On March 20th, the Xstrahl team continued their visits to medical research institutions in Asia. Dr. Devling communicated with users at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University regarding the impeding equipment installation and training, and shared the latest research progress and FLASH irradiation technology.
In the afternoon, the team was invited to visit Shandong Cancer Hospital, where they engaged in an academic exchange with over 30 researchers. During the event, Dr. Devling delivered presentations on the application of FLASH radiotherapy technology and SARRP small animal precision radiotherapy platform in clinical translational research of tumors. The event received positive feedback, and fruitful discussions took place. Following the event, accompanied by the researchers, Dr. Devling visited the laboratory and expressed expectations for further exchanges and collaborations.
On March 22nd, the Xstrahl team visited the State Key Laboratory of Radiation Medicine and Protection at Soochow University. Dr. Devling described international applications of the cutting-edge FLASH technology in tumor research in the field of radiation therapy with faculty and students from the School of Radiation Medicine and Protection. The presentation took place at the Dushu Lake Campus of Soochow University. With the theme "Advancing FLASH Translational Research," Dr. Devling's presentation covered the basic principles and characteristics of FLASH radiotherapy, showcased new research developments in the field, and compared the therapeutic efficacy differences between FLASH radiotherapy and conventional radiotherapy, elucidating the FLASH effect mechanism and its unique advantages. The presentation was wide ranging and captivating. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Zhou Guangming. After the exchange, accompanied by Vice Dean Zhou Guangming, Dr. Devling and his team visited the laboratory facilities. They engaged in in-depth discussions regarding future collaborations.
During the visit, Dr. Devling also visited the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou.
